Edem is a young woman from Ghana whose work in development started with the Food and Agriculture Organisation’s (FAO) Regional Office for Africa in Ghana where she did her one year National Service after completing her university education.
She currently works as Program Assistant for Moremi Initiative for Women’s Leadership in Africa, an organisation transforming and developing women leaders on the continent. Edem volunteers as Program Coordinator of the Mentorship Program for brilliant but socio-economically underprivileged girls run by a local non-profit, 40 Roses Foundation. She is passionate about community development, youth development and leadership and is therefore an active member of Junior Chamber International (JCI) and Toastmasters International. Edem believes each person has a potential to effect positive social change and it begins with simply starting with what you have right where you are and doing the very best that you can.
