Basant Motawi, MD, is an urban health & safety specialist who has previously worked with the Ageing and Life course department with the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

She serves as a facilitator for the WHO Global Network of Age-friendly Cities and Communities (GNAFCC). As a long time youth advocate with over 3300+ hours clocked towards community development and engagement, Basant is the founder & CEO of Aspire youth-led organization for development in Cairo, Egypt.
