iRAP - the International Road Assessment Programme is a groundbreaking organization that aims to improve road infrastructure all around the world. Their mission is to ensure all roads are a minumum 3* or more. We recently joined iRAP to deliver a programme alongside the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety to train African NGO leaders on Star Ratings for Schools.
We continue our work with the organization to include youth to be empowered to undertake road assessments around schools, universities and other educational institutes to forward our mission of giving young people the knolwedge, skills and tools to be active agents of change for road safety.
About iRAP
Saving lives and preventing serious injuries on the world’s roads are what iRAP is all about. With 1.25 million deaths and 30-50,000,000 injuries every year, we need urgent action now to deliver safer roads for all road users.
iRAP (the International Road Assessment Programme) is the umbrella programme for Road Assessment Programmes (RAPs) worldwide that are working to save lives. Like many life-saving charities working in the public health arena, we use a robust, evidence-based approach to prevent unnecessary deaths and suffering.
