Brian Bilal Mwebaze Kanaahe is a long standing member of YOURS as Regular columnist and Road Safety advisor on Africa issues. He is from Uganda.
Aged 11, in 1998, his dad was involved in a serious road traffic crash, and has since been a road safety advocate locally, nationally and internationally. He’s worked with public and private institutions including the Uganda Red Cross, WHO Africa region and the African Union Commission. He’s also involved in academia, supporting his local Universities:- Mbarara University and Bishop Stuart University in developing, running child and youth appropriate road safety education courses. When not yelling road safety and young people with governments, international agencies, academia and youth organisations, Brian does public health research, football nutmegs and volunteering.
