Goals
Developed by The Thiago de Moraes Gonzaga Foundation, the program Vida Urgente consists in a set of actions that aim, through awareness, to humanize traffic in our country. For us, traffic is more than just an issue that concerns to Transport and Security Bureaus, it is an EDUCATION issue. We fully focus on young people, who is our main target group.

Key Activities

• MADRUGADA VIVA( alive dawn): Action that consists in a group of young volunteers that runs through major night points of the city, talking and warning about the danger involved when people drink when they drive. Volunteers also realized a test with an instrument that verifies the levels of alcohol in the blood. Who drank, receives a red butterfly, and it´s stimulated to leave the car and get a safe ride.
• MOTO VIDA (Moto Life): An educative blitz realized to humanize the relation between motorcycle drivers and traffic, alerting about the dangers and encouraging people to use the security equipment. 
• BUZOOM: The safe ride of Vida Urgente that guarantees that people can enjoy great parties and special events and come home safely. 
• VIDA URGENTE IN CONCERT: A show for life that counts on the participation of local and national bands, artists and known personalities that, through their testemonials, leaves messages about life´s value. 
• EXPO VIDA URGENTE: Itinerant exposition that runs through malls, schools, universities, fairs and events, taking information, photos and videos about the Vida Urgente program activities. 
• VIDA URGENTE NA ESTRADA (Vida Urgente on the Road): Project directed to truck drivers and carmans, with actions realized in gas stations, toll squares, bounders and roads. It has as main goal to humanize the relation between these drivers and charges and tour vehicles. 
• ESCOLA URGENTE (Urgente School): Action realized simultaneously in several cities, happens in avenues, next to schools, where Young volunteers talk to the drivers. 
• JOGO DA VIDA (Game for Life): Theatre show directed to high school 1st to 5th grade students, and tells the story of a group of friends that decide to organize a quiz of questions and answers to alert about the dangers and responsibilities of pedestrians and drivers in traffic. In an interactive way, the actors build a show with the audience, in a fun contest between boys and girls for them to be encouraged to evaluate and preserve life. TRANSPORTADORA DA VIDA( Carrier of Life): Program developed in association with SETCERGS (Companies Transport and Logistics Union of RS) that has as objective to recognize, value and encourage education and accidents prevention actions, certificating companies that belongs to the charge transportation sector.
• SALVA-VIDA URGENTE (Urgent Life-Guard): Action developed in the coast, where volunteers pass to vacationers massages about how to enjoy the summer safely.
• VIDA URGENTE NO PALCO (Vida Urgente on Stage): Project that offers, through theatre, orientation and awareness for children, young people and adults about dangers in traffic. The shows are availed for presentations in schools, universities, companies and events.
• STORYTELLERS: Project directed to preschool age kids and has as goal to teach the “little ones” what kind of care they should have in traffic as pedestrians, passengers, bike drivers, skaters and so on.
• LAST DAYS OF A SUPER-HERO: A multimedia project, directed to high school students that uses technological resources to attract the public with the modern mechanisms of the virtual world: videogames, DVDs and internet. The presentations happen in the Vida Urgente Space, at the Foundation´s headquarter.
