Regional Niagara Road Safety Committee
The Regional Niagara Road Safety Committee formed in 2003 following a community meeting to discuss the increase in the number of serious and fatal motor vehicle collisions happening on Niagara roads.
We work with provincial, regional and municipal governments and services, local media, business associations, employers, schools, community groups, individuals and other stakeholders to support, implement and promoteThink and Drive. Think and Drive is part of the overall plan that teaches drivers about local road safety issues and how they can take personal responsibility for making themselves and Niagara's roads safer.
We aim to reduce all reportable motor vehicle collisions in Niagara, using:
- education;
- evaluation;
- enforcement;
- engineering;
- and advocacy.
