PEER-Projekt an Fahrschulen by MISTEL/SPI Forschung
PEER-project at driving schools is working in the field of road safety. Young peer-educators in the age of 18-25 are going into driving schools to talk with young drivers students about the risks of driving under the influence of alcohol and/ or illegal drugs.
The aim is to broach the issue of the drink-drive-conflict. In open discussion rounds the young driving beginners are requested to find together with the young peer-educators strategies and solutions to avoid drunken and/or drugged driving.
The project exists in nine federal states of Germany. From 2006-2008 the project has been realised and implemented in ten European countries with a grant of the European commission.
