2011 was another groundbreaking year for YOURS. In 2011, YOURS pushed forward with lots of activities and created a ripple of road safety activitiy with young people around the world. We share with you an illustration of 2011 in pictures at YOURS!
2011 has been a big year for road safety and a big year for YOURS. In the first half of the year, the Decade of Action for Road Safety was launched and we were at the forefront of bringing awareness of the decade to young people around the world. We launched the Decade of Action with over 400 young people in Toronto, Cananda. This year, we began with our first staff meeting in The Netherlands, attendance at United Nations Road Safety Collaboration meetings in London, UK and Geneva, Switzerland.
YOURS then went on to facilitate regional youth assemblies for road safety in the Middle East in Oman, Africa in Niger and Europe in Beligum. Our work brought us to present in Mexico, Washington and Canada. We also also ran workshop at The Muscat Youth Summit Oman and launched our 2011 Awareness Campaign; The Embrace Life Campaign!
As you can see, 2011 has been even bigger than 2010 and YOURS has worked with thousands of young people all around the world.
