Purpose

The purpose of the YOURS’ Capacity Development Programme is to develop youth capacities to prevent road traffic injuries and seeks to:

  1. Increase young people’s understanding of the global road safety crisis, particularly youth issues
  2. Inspire and motivate young people to become actively involved in preventing road traffic injuries
  3. Build their knowledge and develop the skills they need to implement their own road safety activities 

Youth and Road Safety Action Kit

The Youth and Road Safety Action Kit is a major tool used in the Programme and is the first document that addresses road safety in an accessible and youth-friendly manner. The Kit has been written by young people for young people and has been reviewed by experts from around the world.		  publications.jpg

Youth and Road Safety Workshops

Building on the Kit, are the interactive Youth and Road Safety Workshops. The methodology followed is based on peer education and active learning. YOURS offers two tracks:

  1. The Youth and Road Safety Workshops
  2. The Training of Facilitators for Youth and Road Safety Workshops
